sisal
The fibre is extracted from the long spiny leaves of the Agave Sisalana plant.
The strong thin sisal fibres are white in colour. The fibres are dyed to the required colour.
We usually fit our sisal over a superior quality underlay or rubber lay. Sisal by be used in conjunction
with under floor- or under-carpet heating.
jute
Jute comes form the Jenus
Cochorous plant which grows in
the hot humid climates of Asia.
The jute plant grows into tall
cones up to 3 metres in height.
At harvest time, the fibres are
separated from the wood core of
the plant.
Jute is a fine natural fibre best
suited to areas of the house such
as the sitting room and bedrooms
rather than the high traffic areas.
It’s a very soft natural fibre.
seagrass
Sea grass is sourced from perennial grass of saltwater marshes.
These plants are mature to the monsoon climates of the Pacific basin. The reeds are thick and rigid.
The non-porous skin is smooth to the touch and gives a slight natural sheen.
Sea grass is fitted over a rubberlay and cannot be used in
conjunction with under floor-or under-carpet heating.

Paper
Paper is extremely durable and very versatile floor covering.
Woven form spun paper, made from the pulp of coniferous softwoods,
it is very strong and has resin added during the spinning process
to increase the moisture resistance of the fibre. Paper is fitted over a rubberlay.
Coir
Coir is the course fibre obtained from the husks surrounding the seed of the coconut palm.
The fibrous husks are soaked in nets in slow moving water to swell and soften the fibres.
These fibres are spun into yarn before they are woven into broadloom carpets.
Coir is fitted over a superior quality underfelt and can be used in conjunction with
under floor- or under-carpet heating.
Wool/Sisal
This product is a mixture of Sisal and pure new wool.
